SAXON – an online index
SAXON is the newsletter of the Sutton Hoo Society. First published in November 1984 its purpose was to provide regular twice-yearly updates on the activities of the Society as well as updates on the progress of the Sutton Hoo Research Project’s work. Although the Sutton Hoo Research Project excavations closed in 1992, there was still post-excavation work to focus on. Since then SAXON has focussed on Society activities, including reports of lectures and excursions, articles on further and new research, and excavation work on other relevant sites.
This index mostly refers to main articles, by key words not titles. Saxon was not paginated until no. 51, so references are to issue numbers only.
This outline index has limited cross-referencing. Main entries are grouped under Authors and Lecturers; Boats and Ships; Books; Sutton Hoo excavations; Sutton Hoo general; SUTTON HOO SOCIETY: SHS Conferences; SHS Lectures; SHS Outings.
